Wolverhampton linked with Benfica defender Dias

Wolverhampton have been linked with Benfica defender Ruben Dias in the latest reports coming out of England. Dias has become one of the higher rated young central defenders in Europe and fits the mold of recent Wolves acquisitions, being young with a potential to increase in value. The clubs have started initial discussions about Dias who has a €66M release clause in his current contract and would join a squad that currently boasts six Portuguese players and a Portuguese manager. The 22 year old Dias is also a client of super agent Jorge Mendes who has brokered a number of deals in recent years with the Wolves. Benfica are said to be in no hurry to move on from Dias this season after their recent massive sale of forward Joao Felix.
