Benfica Blog

Benfica will kick off their 2024-25 Taca de Portugal campaign against minnow Pevidem later today. Benfica enter the third round of the competition looking to capture their 30th title in the competition and a cup that they last won in 2017.

Benfica's opponents today Pevidem currently play in the fourth tier of the Portuguese pyramid and hail from the Guimaraes region. Benfica should dress a line up that focuses on giving playing time to players that are normally substitutes but will need to be cautious in their approach to avoid a major upset.
