Benfica have loaned another player to English side West Brom, as winger Chris Willock will join Krovinovic with the second division side. Willock joined Benfica in the summer of 2017 from Arsenal and has been a member of the clubs B side for the majority of his time in Portugal. Willock who has yet to appear for Benfica's main squad will be returning to his homeland after playing 64 games in Portugal's second division where scored an impressive 14 times, 11 of those goals coming last season. Benfica and West Brom both have the option to review the loan deal in January.

Benfica lose midfielder Gabriel to injury for more then month
Benfica have received the injury prognosis on midfielder Gabriel and the reports are that he will miss the next 4 to 6 weeks with a sprained right knee and some damage to his external lateral ligament. Gabriel suffered the injury in Benfica's Super Cup victory over Sporting this past Sunday which saw the midfielder substituted in the 82nd minute of the game. Gabriel suffered a sprained left knee in April of the past season that ended his campaign early. Gabriel's second trip to the infirmary in less then 6 months have Benfica second guessing if they should let defensive midfielder Fejsa leave the club during the current transfer window and the club could hold on to the Serbian as insurance.

Benfica looking for youngsters, in talks with Gent about striker
Benfica are looking around for some value on young players around Europe and according to reports coming out of Portugal, they have inquired with Belgian side Gent about 20 year old striker Jonathan David. The Canadian player recently starred for his national team in the recent North American 2019 Gold Cup winning the golden boot of the tournament with six goals. Last season David scored 14 goals across all competitions for Gent in 43 appearances. Any signing by Benfica at this stage could cost Benfica around €12M to acquire him from Gent, David more then likely would join their B squad as he adapts to the Portuguese game.
